One Day at a Time

Current Location: Bali, Indonesia

Hi, I’m Raïsa!

I’m a Bangladeshi-Canadian photographer, educator, designer, facilitator and social entrepreneur.

I love to travel and to share images of the places I go with people around the world, although I do find it hard to blog and upload them all. I have been living and working abroad for several years now and travel as often as I can. I particularly love traveling to natural areas around the world and I am often in search of connection with nature, culture, animals and quiet places that are often overlooked. That said, no matter where I am in the world, home is the Southern Shore of Newfoundland in Canada.

I have been blessed to call the following countries ‘home‘ for at least 6 months: Bangladesh, India, the Philippines, Canada, Ethiopia , Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, Japan, USA, Wales, Indonesia

I have also been able to travel to the following. Countries with a asterisk (*) also show that I have worked or had a specific project there:

Africa: Ethiopia*, Djibouti, Tanzania*, Kenya*, Rwanda*, Lesotho, Egypt, Niger*, Madagascar*, Zambia*, Botswana*, Zimbabwe*, Malawi*, Morocco, Mozambique*, South Africa*

Middle East: Oman, UAE, Qatar, Turkiye

Europe: Greece, UK* (Wales, Scotland, England), the Netherlands, Germany*, Iceland, Italy, France, Azerbaijan

Asia: Bangladesh*, India*, Nepal, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan*, Philippines*, Thailand, Cambodia, South Korea, Taiwan, Indonesia*

Oceania: New Zealand, Australia*, French Polynesia

Americas: Canada* (I have worked on projects in every province and territory), United States of America*, Mexico*, Dominica, St. Lucia, Bahamas, St. Pierre & Miquelon

All views expressed are my own and should not be attributed to organizations I work for or have worked for.
